208V is the standard secondary voltage delivered by most commercial transformers in the U.S. and Canada. Older hotels, multi-tenant apartment buildings, and institutional facilities almost universally run 208V wye service rather than the 240V split-phase you find in single-family homes. That means when you arrive on site with a 240V-only heater, you may discover the outlets are actually delivering 208V — and your heater will under-perform by up to 25%, extending treatment times and risking incomplete kills.

One 208V heater treats up to 400 ft² with standard 8’ ceilings — the size of a typical hotel room, studio apartment, or single bedroom. Most jobs reach lethal temperatures (118°F sustained, or 130–140°F instant-kill) within 2–3 hours and complete in 6–8 hours total. You’re back in service the same shift.
For larger spaces, multiple 208V heaters run in parallel from separate circuits. We stock pigtail cables in matched sets so multi-heater deployments are plug-and-go.
