The Industrial-Grade 480V Heater
The 480V 10kW heater is engineered for environments where 240V residential power simply doesn’t exist or isn’t safe to draw from. It runs exclusively on 480V three-phase service — the standard for industrial facilities, oil & gas platforms, large commercial buildings, and the Bed Bug Beast™ mobile heat treatment truck.
If you’re treating a residential home or hotel room, this is not the right heater — you want the 240V or 208V model. The 480V heater exists because some of our customers operate in environments where the only available high-capacity power is 480V three-phase, and they need equipment engineered specifically for that service.

Why 480V Three-Phase?
Three-phase 480V power delivers 10kW with significantly less amperage draw than the equivalent single-phase 240V circuit — about 12 amps per phase versus ~42 amps single-phase. That means thinner cables, lower line losses over distance, and the ability to run multiple heaters from a single distribution panel without overloading.
For a Bed Bug Beast™ truck operator, this is the difference between treating a 6,800 ft² commercial property with one generator versus needing multiple power sources. For an offshore platform, it’s the difference between using existing wiring infrastructure versus running temporary cabling through hazardous zones.
Connection Requirements
The 480V heater terminates in a single industrial twist-lock connector matched to your distribution box or generator output. Unlike the 208V and 240V models, this heater does not ship with multiple pigtail adapters — 480V connection points are far more standardized in industrial environments, and we work with you to confirm the right termination at order time.
Common compatible connections include:

- 480V 3-phase portable generators (most commercial-rated 25kVA+ units)
- Industrial facility 480V distribution panels (with appropriate breaker sizing)

Treatment Coverage & Multi-Heater Deployment
A single 480V heater treats up to 400 ft² — the same coverage as the 208V and 240V models. But the real strength of the 480V platform is parallel deployment. Because of its low per-heater amperage draw, you can run 4–6 480V heaters from a single 200A 480V distribution panel — treating up to 2,400 ft² simultaneously.

Cabinet & Element Specs Identical to 208V/240V Models
The 480V heater shares the same 18-gauge cold-rolled steel cabinet, powder-coated inside and out, and the same industrial stainless steel finned strip heating elements as the rest of the PestPro lineup. What changes is the internal wiring — reconfigured for three-phase service — and the input connection. Service life and durability are identical: 10+ years of continuous duty cycles based on real customer feedback.
