The most mission-critical components of any 240v/208v electric bed bug heater for sale are the heater elements. It is a simple device that heats up when both positive and negative currents are switched. We DO NOT use flimsy coils that constantly snap and need replacing by the manufacturer but instead have chosen only the highest grade, industrial-rated, stainless steel, finned strip heater elements. The next most important component to consider when choosing an electric bed bug heater is the actual cabinet or housing. We don’t use plastic, which starts to deform after limited on/off heat cycles but has instead chosen to use only the toughest – 18 gauge Cold Rolled Steel. Our steel is fabricated into cabinets by a local, family-owned metal fabricator and then powder-coated inside and out, ensuring many years of dependable use in the harshest of operating environments including offshore on oil/gas platforms and commercial fishing fleets. Because our customers are now using our heaters at the higher temperatures required to kill certain viruses (158° F) rest assured our steel cabinets will hold their shape for many years to come. That cannot be said of plastic housings, which expand and contract with each on/off cycle, leading to premature popping rivets and other switches coming loose.
Next up, what makes our heaters uniquely effective is how and where it plugs into a power source. You need enough power to create enough heat to not just kill pests (and pathogens) on the surface but also to effectively penetrate items like beds, sofas, baseboards, and anywhere else bed bugs hide and lay their eggs.
We originally offered a 110/120V bed bug heater for sale. We quickly learned that generating 10,000 watts or 34,120 BTUs of heat required combining too many 15-20 amp outlets, which resulted in a risky and potentially dangerous ‘octopus’ of separate cords. Our commercial customers pushed back on the tripping risk, and the ‘circuit breaker popping hassle ‘was unacceptably high. For these reasons we pivoted our design to a 240v high voltage standard instead. Our heaters are now either 208v, 240v or 480v three-phase (Bed Bug Beast™ Truck only).

Feb22 2024 We run a hotel in the Northwest Territories of Canada which is remote and hard to get to in the winter. Right before the holidays an infestation forced us to act quickly to stop it from getting worse and losing revenue from out-of-service rooms. We decided to borrow Pestpro heaters from our local housing authority (NWT Housing Corp.) as they were kind enough to loan them out given we could not get a heater shipped quickly enough due to the winter weather. Hotels are always at risk of guests bringing assorted and unwanted pest infestations in with them, and chemical treatments have not been a dependable method of control for us. Chemical treatments require toxic chemicals and extended blocking of rooms to be effective, (i.e. lost revenue). And worse, re-treatments have been necessary 50% of the time for us, so additional pest exposure to guests, (more unhappy guests equals more risk of bad online reviews and more lost revenue). In contrast, heat treatment can be done in one day and immediately returned to service, so the up front cost of the equipment is QUICKLY recouped.
Additionally, the equipment is of great quality and was tailored to our facility, so we expect many years of dependable service. Heat treatment is hands down the best control method, and PestPro has been excellent to deal with, so we recommend them highly.

I am a landlord in the extreme northern part of the US. When a tenant brought bedbugs into one of my buildings in January, I had no idea the nightmare that had begun. A “professional exterminator” came in unprepared with plastic heaters and attempted to achieve kill temperature overnight as the outside temperature fell to 13 below zero. He failed miserably and charged me $3,000! We were calling with complaints about live bugs less than an hour after he left. I am very mechanically inclined and 99% of the time do not need to read directions. (READ THE DIRECTIONS!!!) Next thing I knew I had accidentally reprogrammed the heater and it was reading 185 degrees. (Not the room, the heater!) Michael and his team patiently walked me through correcting the programming I had so badly messed up. Michael gave generously of his time to educate me and coach me how to approach killing the bedbugs in my triplex. The heater efficiently wiped the bugs out after several cross contaminations and re-infestations caused by uncooperative tenants and saved me at least $10,000.
I also had a flea infestation at another unit and the heater solved that problem as well. I have been bug free for a year and a half now. If bedbugs ever do return, I can safely and efficiently wipe them out for little additional cost.

When we were designing a small room dryer for our pottery manufacturing facility (eastfork.com), we were looking for a simple, affordable and reliable heat source to dry our pottery ware before it goes in to the kilns. My belief is that, given the extremes we push this unit to daily, this unit would last two lifetimes if used primarily for the purpose it was designed.

I am the pastor of a church that has some rental properties. A couple of years ago one of our properties became infested with bed bugs and after much frustration I decided to have it treated by a local company who used a heat process. It is absolutely amazing to go into a unit with active bed bugs scurrying around in the usual areas of a room especially on mattresses/bedding and after using the PestPro thermal unit to see them all dead. They are flattened and you will find even more than you thought were there in the first place. My set up-paid for itself within the first six months of use. Hopefully you buy it and it sits in the corner collecting dust but if you are a landlord like myself I highly doubt that will be the case.

Pest Thermal is the real deal. The staff members are extremely sweet and answered all my questions to make sure my equipment was running smoothly. I reached out to Pestpro on July 19 and purchased from them on July 20. I explained to Michael how the infestation happened in my home and was mainly in my child’s bedroom. I was getting ready to bring a newborn home and I didn’t want to bring him into a home with bed bugs. I was trying so hard to get rid of the bugs I was spraying every week and vacuuming every day and nothing worked. After receiving the equipment, we read all directions / instructions and put the equipment straight to work. This machine is the real deal and puts out a lot of heat. The machine produces so much heat you can’t sleep in the room the day you do the treatment. You have to wait until the next morning and sometimes the room is still hot. When your room returns to normal temperature you will be amazed at what you see and how many insects were hiding in that room and furniture. I wish that I would have recorded the process. It has been a month and we have not seen any bugs in our home. So I would like to thank PestPro Thermal for everything they have done for my family. Michael really does have a huge heart and cares about his customers. If you’re looking to get rid of bed bugs I recommend reaching out to Pestpro Thermal , their equipment is very durable and it is NOT cheaply made. Now that I have used it and seen how well it works I think the equipment is probably underpriced compared to the quotes I got for an exterminator to come just one time.
